Our Process
At Captain Coating first, we start with the surface preparation, which is perhaps the most crucial step in ensuring a successful epoxy flooring installation. We concrete grind the whole area, and then vacuum and sweep any dust or dirt out, as well as patch any cracks or pits in the concrete. Second, we mix and apply the self-priming epoxy base coat with a squeegee and roller. Third, we apply the optional decorative elements such as flakes, metallic pigments, or aggregates to create an aesthetic appeal. Finally, after letting it sit for a day to cure, we come back and apply the clear protective topcoat and inspect the surface.
